To help customers better visualize which self-storage unit size best suited their needs, OpenUnit.ca brought me on to create a series of custom illustrations for their website. The goal was to provide a clear, visual reference for each available unit size—making it easier for users to understand what could realistically fit in each space.
Each illustration depicts a storage unit filled with typical contents—ranging from boxes and bikes to furniture and appliances—based on actual use cases. The result is a user-friendly tool that adds clarity to the online rental process, improves customer confidence, and reduces uncertainty when choosing a unit.
These illustrations not only enhance the customer experience but also bring a bit of warmth and personality to what is often a very utilitarian service.
