BAYER
Bayer wanted to promote their Annihilator Polyzone insecticide with a bold, attention-grabbing concept that broke away from traditional advertising in the agricultural space. The result? A high-impact sci-fi thriller–style movie poster, designed as a full-page print ad for industry magazines.
I illustrated “The Annihilator” — a fictional blockbuster hero inspired by classic sci-fi and action film posters from the '80s and '90s. The concept reimagines the insecticide as a powerful, futuristic force wiping out pests with precision and persistence.
The illustration leans into cinematic drama: dramatic lighting, over-the-top scale, and a central hero figure battling swarms of enemy insects in a post-apocalyptic farm setting. Every detail was crafted to feel like a movie you'd actually want to see — with just the right mix of camp, confidence, and visual storytelling.
The final piece delivered a memorable twist on product advertising, helping Bayer cut through the noise with creativity, humour, and a healthy dose of nostalgia.
